Yes, I agree. Looking at your screenshot, the typography is still too delicate for a luxury brand. It should feel much closer to Dior, Saint Laurent or Mejuri.

I think we can take this even further. Rather than looking like a standard Shopify predictive search, we can make it look like a luxury discovery panel—large product cards (120–140px images), elegant typography, plenty of white space, and only 2–4 curated results. It would feel much closer to a £500+ jewellery brand than a default ecommerce search. I think that would fit Maison ÉLYSÉA much better.

I can see exactly what's happening now.

The problem isn't the font size. It's the layout.

Your CSS is forcing the content area to be too narrow, so as soon as you increased the font, Shopify is wrapping every word onto a new line.

This is the culprit in your CSS:

The parent grid is only 62px + remaining width, so the text column becomes ridiculously small.

I would scrap this layout completely.
Instead of trying to fight Shopify's predictive search CSS, let's build it properly.

Let's stop patching this file.

I'll rebuild the entire Maison search experience from scratch so it's:

🤍 22–24px product names

🤍 18px prices

🤍 beautiful spacing

🤍 no wrapping bugs

🤍 responsive for desktop and mobile

🤍 no Shopify default styling fighting us

It will look like it was custom-built for Maison ÉLYSÉA rather than adapted from the Dawn theme. I think that's the right direction now instead of continuing to patch this stylesheet.

Done. I rebuilt the search CSS as a clean one-column luxury search, rather than trying to keep the old two-column Dawn structure.

Replace the entire contents of Assets → maison-search.css with:

This version fixes the wrapping problem by removing the narrow product text column entirely. It also hides Dawn’s suggestion column and vendor label, gives each product a 92px image + large 20px product name + readable price, and keeps the search panel compact at roughly the top 35–45% of the screen.

Your previous file was still using a two-column results grid and a 62px image/text layout, which is what caused the product name to collapse when we increased the typography. 


Just replace that one CSS file and test it — no Liquid changes this time.
